Driveway
14 February 2014
Front Garden Design and Landscaping project. Our client wanted to fully utilise the space in the front garden to its potential while keeping some areas for planting and incorporating a system in which the bins would be hidden. In keeping with style and detail of the house and other gardens and properties in this part of Dublin we specified tumbled silver granite cobbles for the apron and edging of the garden.
Our client wanted a solid gravel surface and not have to worry about rutting while turning or reversing in the
driveway. We used the tried and tested nida-gravel system and used a 4-8mm gravel which picked up on the colours of the brick on the house and contrasted nicely with the silver granite cobble.
We constructed a new bin-store and boundary fence using ship-lap cladding which will be stained black once the timber dries. The planting palette was kept simple with a Portuguese laurel hedge to both side boundaries, with some under planting of photinia and Lavender. Another very pleased property owner can now enjoy their new garden/driveway which is designed and installed to the highest standards.
