Open Space Landscaping
03 October 2016
Open space Landscape Design & Build for a residential development in south Dublin. The existing site was all lawn and the residents required a revamp to the space with no lawn and increased circulation paths and planting.
The design result was a series of new curved circulation paths which divided the space into new mounded planting beds with a beach cobble surface. The new path surface of a pea gravel and granite cobble edging complements the existing paving onsite. The planting consisted of a number of specimen Olive Trees and a mix of herbaceous plants, grasses and coastal tolerant shrubs along with specimen box balls to provide structure and color to the space.
A scheme of lighting was installed with up lighters installed under the Specimen Olives. A drip irrigation was also set-up to aid establishment of the planting and to reduce watering requirements during spells of dry weather.
